My name is Gladys P. Nut, and I am the artist behind Cutie Squad. I started this brand because I couldn't fit into society's expectations and felt like I was trapped in a "keurslijf" (Dutch for "corset"), which is a metaphor for feeling confined by societal expectations. After experiencing two burnouts, I realized that I needed to make a change in my life.
That's when I decided to start Cutie Squad. I draw inspiration from my family and the amazing people I meet, to create cute and whimsical characters that remind us to never lose sight of our inner child. Each character is inspired by a member of my family or a person who has had a positive impact on my life. With Cutie Squad, I aim to create a community of open-minded individuals who refuse to be held back by the expectations of society.
My art is not just about creating cute and quirky characters, but also about inspiring people to be the best version of themselves. I want to remind everyone that life is an adventure and that we should never forget to have fun along the way.
